The associate members participating in the tournament are the USA, Canada, Namibia, Scotland, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Uganda, Netherlands, and Nepal.

For the first stage of the T20 World Cup, the 20 national teams are classified into four groups of five. Each team will play at least four matches against other group members, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next stage of Super 8’s. The four groups in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 are as follows.

Group A: India, USA, Canada, Pakistan, Ireland

Group B: Australis, Scotland, England, Oman, Namibia

Group C: New Zealand, Afghanistan, West Indies, Papua New Guinea, Uganda

The knock out or Super 8 stage of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 commences after the conclusion of group stage. The eight qualifying teams for the knock out stage are again classified in to two groups.

Group I include teams that finished first in Group A and C along with second placed teams in group B and D.

Group II: B1, D1, A2 and C2

Each team will play other teams in their group with six matches being played in a group totalling twelve matches in knock out stages.

The top two teams from each group will reach semi-finals which will decide the finalist.
